Ricerca Biosciences acquired the discovery and preclinical business of MDS Pharma Services in King of Prussia, Pa., for about $35 million. The deal will more than double Ricerca's worldwide workforce to 850 and give the company well-respected drug-development facilities in Bothell, Washington; Lyon, France; and Taipei, Taiwan. Ricerca Biosciences is a privately-held company funded by Bain Ventures and SV Life Sciences.
