NI Medical has developed the NICaS system that noninvasively monitors cardiac output and several other hemodynamic parameters for CHF patients. The technology uses Regional Impedance Cardiography (RIC) which calculates cardiac output based on the impedance changes depicted by electrodes placed on two limbs. The device has received FDA 510K clearance and has launched sales in the US and Europe.
